Position Summary
The Senior Systems Administrator is a key technical leader responsible for ensuring the organization's IT infrastructure's stability, reliability, and security. This role encompasses designing, implementing, and maintaining systems, networks, and applications supporting mission-critical operations. The Senior Systems Administrator is an expert resource who collaborates with IT staff, vendors, and cross-functional teams to deliver seamless and scalable technology solutions relevant to the long-term care and retirement industry.
Duties / Responsibilities
1. Manage, monitor, and optimize enterprise systems, including servers, networks, storage, and cloud environments.
2. Lead the design, deployment, and administration of IT infrastructure projects to meet organizational goals.
3. Develop and enforce IT policies, procedures, and best practices to ensure system availability and compliance with security standards.
4. Oversee backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity strategies.
5. Provide advanced troubleshooting and resolve complex system issues in a timely manner.
6. Collaborate with application teams to ensure smooth integration of software and hardware solutions.
7. Mentor junior IT staff and provide guidance in resolving escalated issues.
8. Research and recommend innovative technologies to improve efficiency and performance.
9. Create and maintain technical documentation for systems, processes, and configurations.
