Job Description:
Baptist Health Medical Group is looking for a Cardiology Clinic Manager for their operations in Louisville, KY.
This position entails the oversight of staff members in the clinic, works closely with the physicians/providers of the practice to oversee operations connected with these areas and manages resources and issues accordingly.
Essential Functions:
- Directs and supervises all aspects of patient care in the clinic; including, Nurses, Medical Assistants and Patient Care Techs; including heart monitor department.
- Performs clinical review of all incoming referrals and determines appropriate scheduling timeframe and provider.
- Analyzes/Evaluates processes to provide high quality and efficient operations across multiple clinic locations.
- Serves as a liaison/resource to provide for a seamless delivery of care throughout the system.
- Oversees physicians’ schedules and logistics related to it.
- Provides relief to all positions on the team to effectively fill in any gaps in staffing to maintain effective clinic flow and patient care.
- Creates clinical schedule for RNs, Medical Assistants and heart monitor department covering outside clinics on a rotating schedule.
- Recruits, retains, and develops competent staff.
- Collaborates with physicians and APCs for workflow opportunities and process improvement within the clinic.
- Assists in the onboarding of new providers.
- Works with Administrator, Physicians, and Staff in planning and developing budgets and additional administrative projects.
- Communicates budget needs as a collaborative effort between Physicians, Administrator, and Staff.
- Attends monthly provider meeting with the ability to respond to concerns and suggestions. Presents new processes and can effectively educate/train on them.
- Collaborates with physician manager to finalize clinic call schedule and plan additional clinic days according to availability of clinical resources.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing with at least 2 years of experience in a cardiology office/critical care unit/cath lab or Associate’s of Science in Nursing with at least 5 years of experience in a cardiology office/critical care unit/cath lab required
- Current unrestricted RN license in the state(s) of practice locations
- 3 years of management or leadership experience preferred
- BLS certification recognized by the American Heart Association
