About the Role
The Principal Product Owner role will manage the portfolio of over 40 applications for the Legacy Asset (US) business within BHP. The Legacy Assets business purpose is to manage closed mine sites and ensure responsible mine closure outcomes. Their applications include a wide variety of capabilities and platforms, including health & safety, environmental data, industrial control systems, physical access, and many others. This position also plays a leadership role in projects relating to application onboarding or product improvements. You will work in a global and multicultural environment, managing the lifecycle of the Legacy Asset applications and also act as an initial touchpoint and liaison for enterprise-owned applications within BHP.
In this role you will:
- Apply an understanding of business purpose, processes, and key activities to ensure the application portfolio enables the customer across all domains.
- Develop and maintain long-term product roadmaps for the Legacy Assets application portfolio, leveraging continuous improvement to identify and action future-facing opportunities
- Manage, monitor and optimize the performance of software across its lifecycle, including vendor management, software upgrades, voice of customer feedback.
- Lead, coordinate and execute work to implement solutions and resolve issues, escalating internally or externally as needed.
- Coordinate and participate in global processes which enable our customers to leverage software (risk assessments, automated installations, cybersecurity reviews, etc)
- Take responsibility for your actions, operate independently when needed, follow safety requirements, and working efficiently to meet target objectives.
- Identify, engage, and manage a range of internal and external stakeholders.
- Establish routines with business and technical stakeholders
- Participate in local and global routines which may fall outside normal business hours
- Strive to achieve 100% safety, 100% customer value, and 0% waste.
- This will be an Arizona based position.
