Central Sterile Tech
Full-time, 2nd Shift
The Central Sterile Technician cleans, sorts, inspects, wraps, and sterilizes surgical instruments. They assist with repairs and refurbishing orders for instruments. They maintain adequate supplied needed for cleaning and sterilizing items in Central Sterile Processing.
Job Description
- Collects and receives used Surgery, Central Distribution, and other department items such as instrument trays, etc.
- Decontaminates washes, rinses, and inspects patient care items.
- Operates Steam, and Sterrad Sterilizers.
- Dates and places recall data on all items sterilized and biological indicators in sterilizer.
- Pulls surgery packs according to surgical case.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Must complete and attain Certified Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST) within 1 year of employment.
- Must have ability to read, write, and follow written or verbal instructions.
