Job Description:
Cooks, prepares, presents, and serves food items. Ensures that food is prepared in a manner, which is nutritious, safe, properly flavored and in compliance with sanitation and safety requirements, and accrediting agency standards for quality.
Job Duties:
- Cooks and prepares various entrees, vegetables, sandwiches, and other menu items using standardized recipes.
- Demonstrates knowledge of infection control and sanitation with refrigeration temperatures, hand washing, use of gloves and label & dating of food.
- Follows safety and sanitation guidelines established by the accrediting and government agencies.
- Identifies and utilizes cleaning chemicals used in the department following directions recommended by manufactures and per MSDS sheets.
Preferred Requirements
- HS Diploma/GED
- One to three months job related experience.
