What are the responsibilities and job description for the Diagnostic Radiography Technologist, Afternoon Shift position at BHS Baptist Healthcare System?
Job Description:
Status: Part Time
Hours: 24 hr/week
Shift: Evening Shift 3pm-11:30pm
8-hour shifts
Rotates call and weekends.
- Under the direction of the radiologist, performs radiographic procedures at a technical level requiring minimal supervision of technical detail.
- Performs a variety of technical procedures that will require independent judgment, with ingenuity and initiative to apply prescribed ionizing radiation for radiologic diagnosis.
- Assumes responsibility for designated areas or procedures as required, including specialized radiographic areas such as myelography, arthrography, mobile and/or surgical procedures.
- Recognizes the purpose of employment is to prioritize the patient as number one and to put forth the utmost quality as a technologist.
Requirements
- High School Graduate.
- ARRT Registered or eligible (must obtain ARRT registry within the Kentucky state licensing mandates).
- Current license with the Kentucky Board of Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy is required.
- Must be capable of all routine diagnostic procedures including but not limited to routine, OR, trauma, portable radiographs or fluoroscopy, limited specials such as myelograms, venograms, and mammography.
- Desire for furthering one's education in the various specialties directly related to the field of radiology.
