Job Description:
- Oversees the daily operations of the laboratory, ensuring accurate and timely processing of tests and samples.
- This role involves managing laboratory staff, maintaining equipment, and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
- The coordinator liaises with medical staff to support patient diagnosis and treatment, manages inventory, and implements quality control procedures.
- Strong organizational and communication skills are essential to maintain workflow efficiency and uphold high standards of laboratory practice.
Requirements:
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Medical Laboratory Science or a related science field is required
- Certified in clinical laboratory science by recognized certifying agencies.
- Must have at least 1 year experience as a Medical Laboratory Scientist in the designated discipline, and be qualified under CLIA regulations to function as a General or Technical Supervisor.
- General supervisory experience is preferred.
- Membership in a professional organization is highly desirable but not mandatory
