Nuclear Med. Tech.
PRN I First Shift
Cardiovascular Lab I Hamburg, KY
The Noninvasive Lab is a specialized department within a healthcare facility dedicated to performing diagnostic tests and procedures that do not require breaking the skin or entering the body. This unit plays a crucial role in assessing and diagnosing a variety of medical conditions, particularly those related to cardiovascular, pulmonary, and vascular systems.
Description for Nuclear Med.Tech.:
- Provides health care services using radioisotopes to assist in diagnosis or treatment (therapies).
- Performs Nuclear Medicine and PET/CT related procedures, computer processing, and related techniques to produce images for the interpretation by a Radiologist, Cardiologist or a licensed independent practitioner.
- Exercises professional judgment in performance of service and maintains a demeanor complimentary to medical ethics.
- Recognizes various patient conditions in order to provide appropriate patient care to ensure successful completion of the exam or procedure.
Requirements for Nuclear Med. Tech.:
- Associate degree.
- Less than one year experience.
- Current license with the American Registry Radiologic Technology (ARRT) N or certificate with the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB).
- Current license with the Kentucky Board of Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy.
- Current Advanced ARRT and/or CNMT Registry required. PET certification recommended upon completion of 700 hours of clinical experience.
- Life support for (ACLS, BLS, PALS etc.)
