Job Description:
Phlebotomist-Lab-Part-Time
- The phlebotomist is responsible for specimen collections, accessioning, labeling and transport of specimens.
- Must optimize patient safety with minimal medical/health care errors in any or all the sections of the Clinical Laboratory
- All employees will continually monitor and adhere to safety responsibilities and initiatives.
- Adheres to specific hospital policy and procedures.
Requirements:
- High School Graduate or GED required.
- Courses in biology, chemistry and computer preferred.
- Certification in phlebotomy preferred but not required.
- Certifications based on the unit worked:
- Previous experience in a clinical laboratory is desirable.
- BLS
