BHS Corrugated North America is seeking a dedicated Installation Technician I to join our dynamic team. This role involves working on-site at customer locations to install new BHS equipment, whether on existing lines or greenfield sites. As an Installation Technician I, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth and successful installation of our cutting-edge technology.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute day-to-day tasks at the BHS installation site, adhering strictly to safety requirements set by both BHS and our customers.
- Collaborate closely with installation leads and fellow technicians (BHS and contractors) to ensure efficient and effective installations.
- Complete tasks assigned by the installation lead, following BHS Installation standards, and provide guidance to contractors as needed.
- Keep Installation Leads informed of daily progress, ensuring transparent and timely communication.
- Provide administrative and organizational support to the BHS installation lead, as required.
- Offer training to assigned BHS North America staff, sharing your knowledge and expertise.
- Participate in cross-functional activities and projects as directed by the Service Manager, BHS North America.
Qualifications
- Must be able to travel extensively and for extended periods, often with short notice. Flexibility in travel is essential, as this role requires frequent on-site presence across various locations in North America.
- Preferably, previous experience as a millwright or electrician on industrial installations.
- Proficiency in English, both verbal and written, is required.
- Strong customer service skills are essential, with a commitment to meeting and exceeding customer expectations.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Word is required.
- As a technology-driven company, we prefer candidates who are tech-savvy and comfortable with using digital tools.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team is crucial for success in this role.
Physical Requirements
- Must have the physical ability to:
- Stand and walk for extended periods.
- Perform bending and twisting motions.
- Safely lift and maneuver objects weighing at least 30 pounds.
- Navigate and walk over equipment, ascend, and descend ladders and stairs.
- Work effectively in various temperature ranges, including hot and cold environments, while on customer locations.
