Summary/Objective
The Lead Security Guard will assist security officers and the Security Manager with daily tasks. The Lead Security Guard is responsible for overseeing daily operations and directing the security guards.
Essential Job Duties

Supervises Security Staff on assigned shift as well as training and providing the Security Manager feedback on staff performance.

Performs hospital rounds assuring safety and security of patients, visitors, and staff as well as hospital assets and plant and taking required actions to correct those areas in which problems are found, documenting all activities and findings.

Takes part in investigations, preparing reports and maintaining records of incidents as required by Federal, State, Local and Hospital guidelines.

Responds to all reported safety/security situations (actual as well as required drills); providing necessary control appropriate to the situation

Maintains building security by monitoring office and facilities access through the locking and unlocking of required areas as well as maintaining patient valuables and lost and found articles log and access.

Attends all mandated safety programs and maintains all required licenses and certifications as well as communicating updates to safety/security procedures and policies to assigned shifts staff.
Required Education and Experience
High School diploma or equivalent
1-3 years of related experience.
Required License/Certifications
Texas Private Security Bureau License
SAMA within 90 days of hire
