Summary/Objective
The Nurse Practitioner will work collaboratively with their sponsoring physician to provide continuous and comprehensive services necessary for the delivery and promotion of optimal healthcare. The Nurse Practitioner will provide appropriate quality care and assists in the evaluation and care of acutely and/or chronically ill patients at our facility.

Assesses and reassesses a multiplicity of patient care needs to prescribe an appropriate plan of care for the patient doing so on an ongoing basis; as well as, alerting the director regarding potential or actual problems..

Assists with establishing and maintaining communication channels with medical staff and other departments within the hospital; as well as, develops and ensures implementation of operational standards within the facility which promote the maintenance of patient rights.

Effectively interprets laboratory/diagnostic based on findings.

Appropriately prescribes medical/nursing therapies based on patients’ care needs and effectively evaluates patient's responses to prescribed medical/nursing therapies.

Demonstrates a sound knowledge base of basic nursing theory and practice and demonstrates a sound knowledge base of advanced nursing theory and practice, including principles of advanced physical assessment, and pharmacology.

Demonstrates knowledge and skills necessary to provide care to patients and families served, in relation to growth and development over the life span to identify their requirements relative to age specific needs.
Required Education and Experience
Graduated from an accredited advanced practice registered nurse program
3-5 years of related experience.
Required License/Certifications
RN License; NP or PA License.
