Bi-Bett Corporation is a California based non-profit organization engaged in the treatment and recovery of adults who suffer from substance use disorders, co-occurring disorders, and other social determinants of health.
Originally based in Contra Costa County, Bi-Bett now operates residential, outpatient and DUI programs in Alameda and Solano Counties as well.

Job Description
The License Practitioner of the Healing Arts (LPHA) is responsible for providing high quality, compassionate care that includes individual and group counseling, treatment assessment, treatment planning, and chart documentation review for the purpose of authorization for services provided. The LPHA position at times may require the responsibility to work alongside certified or registered staff in determining medical necessity for new incoming clients and continuing care clients. The LPHA evaluates client's assessment, intake information and creates the clinical justification for treatment. The LPHA is responsible for Substance Use Disorder Diagnosis based on the DSM-5 and identifies the level of care based on ASAM Criteria.
Supervision
The LPHA is accountable to Program Coordinator and is supervised by the Director of Residential and Detox Services.
Duties
Collaborates with SUD Counselor prior to determining diagnosis and medical necessity for level of care using ASAM criteria for clients needing authorization and re-authorization for services.
Ability to provide both group and individual counseling sessions as needed.
Maintain records for all clinical services that meet DHCS and Medi-Cal standards for quality and compliance.
Assist program staff with managing mental health crises and client interventions.
Maintain a broad understanding of different modalities and approaches to provide services to clients and complete continuous education requirements and assigned staff training.
Participate in the development of clinical practices and standards for program improvement.
Become thoroughly knowledgeable of DHCS, Drug Medi-Cal and Bi-Bett Programs policies and procedures.
Familiarity with local resources for client case management and referral purposes.
Qualifications
License and other Requirements
Licensed Practitioner of the Healing Arts (LPHA), LPC, LCSW, LMFT or another approved credential is required. Minium three to five years of experience is preferred.
Additional compensation may be available to those who are bilingual in both English and Spanish.
Current and valid California driver's license and a clean driving record required.
