What are the responsibilities and job description for the TODDLER TEACHER position at Bi-County Community Action Programs, Inc.?
- You are a great communicator: you can discuss child needs with parents and colleagues. You are able to communicate well with children.
- You respond with patience and are able to work with children with different abilities.
- You’re creative, you can plan lessons that engage young children, and you can adapt lessons for different learning styles.
- You’re organized with lesson plans and records. You have strong computer skills.
- As a teacher you’ll help develop the classroom environment; you’ll plan and implement daily activities and assessments; you’ll observe and record child development and behaviors; and you’ll work side-by-side with a teacher’s assistant, an aide and volunteers in the classroom.
- You’ll need a minimum of a Child Development Associate Certificate (CDA); or a 2 or 4 year degree in Early Childhood Education; or a degree in a related field, with early childhood teaching experience.

- Applicants must pass a DHS Background Study and meet DHS & MN Rule 3 licensing requirements.

Full-time, 40 hours/week, year round. CDA: $17.64 -$24.69/hour; AA: $18.87-$26.41/hr. BA: $21.60-$30.24/hr. Benefits: medical, dental and vision; life insurance, short-term disability. Schedule: Schedule M-Th-9 hours; Fri-4 hours.
