The in vivo group in the department of oncology is seeking a highly motivated, organized, interactive, team-oriented with high level of integrity and work ethic Scientist II to join our Ridgefield, CT team. The role involves developing and execution of in vivo models in immunocompetent and immunodeficient mice while working in matrix environment. Duties & Responsibilities
- Plan, design, execute in vivo experiments
- Effectively communicate, document and maintain experimental protocol and results in electronic workbook
- Routine maintenance of lab equipment
- Ordering of laboratory consumables
- Collaborate with team members to interpret and present data
- Support occasional weekend/holiday work
- Comply with company standards /policies and IACUC regulations
Requirements
- Bachelor´s Degree from an accredited institution with minimum of two (2) years´ experience in related scientific discipline, or Master´s Degree from an accredited institution in related scientific discipline with no experience
- In vivo (rodent): dosing (IV, IP, SC), blood/tissue collection, health monitoring, tumor cell line SC inoculation
- Data analysis: proficiency in Microsoft office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Prism
- Ability to learn new methodology and concepts and apply appropriately with minimal supervision
- Concise and accurate data reporting
- Ability to troubleshoot with high level of attention to details, agility, responsibility, accountability
- Written and verbal communication skills Appropriate level of understanding of applicable regulations
Compensation:
Desired Skills, Experience and Abilities
In vitro : basic cell culture (mammalian/rodent and primary immune cells)
Ex vivo : ELISA, basic flow cytometry, PBMC isolation from leukopaks
Experience with histopathology techniques, including sample preparation and staining.
Eligibility Requirements:
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without restriction.
- Must be willing to take a drug test and post-offer physical (if required)
