What are the responsibilities and job description for the IT Manager position at BI Production Works?
We are seeking an Information Systems Manager who creates and manages solutions and strategies for a growing Microsoft BD ecosystem and custom-created hardware and software applications for multiple companies and environments.
The IT Systems Manager works with leadership to develop and implement a strategic 5-year, forward-looking Information Technology Roadmap consistent with business strategy, architecture, and standards.
- Safeguards assets by planning and implementing disaster recovery and back-up procedures and information security and control structures.
- Provides technical leadership, project management, task execution, maintenance, performance tuning, implementation, security and support of various departmental platforms, including the integration of new products and/or software release upgrades into the current environment.
- Communicates and informs leadership on the progress of IT projects highlighting risks, issues, and critical decisions so they can be appropriately escalated in a timely manner.
- Engages relevant staff and consultants required to engineer and deploy required IT solutions and prepares cost estimates for implementation.
- Maintains computing environment by identifying system requirements, managing upgrades, and monitoring system performance.
- Supporting users on the proper use of application software; oversees preparation of both general and user specific documentation on system and application use.
- Identifying hardware and software options that benefit company operations
- Consulting with company representatives or executives to discuss how specific technology solutions can be implemented.
- Engaging actively in the development of custom softwares- Implementing devices and programs that offer employees the tools they need to succeed.
- Researching any new or developing technologies that could potentially improve a company’s output.
- Upgrading company’s existing networks and programs to continually accommodate changing security protocols.
- Training company employees in the use of any newly implemented technologies.
- Managing IT department budget and prioritizing funds based on primary company goals
- Monitoring inventory of available hardware devices or computer accessories to assess purchasing needs
- Creating long-term plan for upgrading obsolete computer systems and cybersecurity measures
- Managing external consultants and IT professionals
- Up to 20% travel for system implementation in CA, NY, Ontario Canada
- Onboarding new hires, hardware, software and applies appropriate access and controls
- Installs, updates, troubleshoots corporate hardware (conference room, office laptops, phones, office phone system, office phone accounts, wifi)
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $65,000.00 - $72,000.00 per year
