Safety and Compliance Officer

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Compliance Officer to join our team. The Compliance Officer will be responsible for ensuring that our organization adheres to regulatory standards and internal policies. This role is crucial in promoting a culture of compliance and safety within the workplace, while also safeguarding the health and well-being of all employees. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills and a comprehensive understanding of compliance regulations.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and monitor compliance programs to ensure adherence to local, state, and federal regulations.
• Conduct regular audits and assessments to identify areas of non-compliance and recommend corrective actions.
• Prepare detailed reports on compliance status and present findings to management.
• Provide training and development programs for employees on compliance-related topics, including OSHA standards, EPA regulations, and occupational health practices.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry regulations, including workers' compensation law and environmental health and safety (EHS) guidelines.
• Collaborate with various departments to ensure compliance with safety protocols and procedures.
• Respond to compliance inquiries and provide guidance on best practices for maintaining a safe work environment.

Skills

• Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations, EPA standards, and workers' compensation law.
• Experience in report writing with the ability to convey complex information clearly.
• Proficiency in training development to effectively educate staff on compliance issues.
• Familiarity with first aid procedures, CPR certification is a plus.
• Ability to fabricate solutions for compliance challenges as they arise.
• Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail in monitoring compliance activities.
• Strong communication skills for effective collaboration across departments.
