What are the responsibilities and job description for the Production Assembler position at Bi-Search International inc.?
Production Assembler must possess the ability to perform the following:
· Inspect & Test (Optically/Visually and electrically) all materials such as: LCD’s, touch screens, glass, films and any related assembly material (including but not limited to; electronics such as A/D boards, CCFL inverters, LED drivers, power supplies, touch screens controllers and cables), record the necessary data per company/department policy.
· Able to finish task at hand accurately and in a timely manner.
· Able to read and follow the build specifications; job traveler/Bill Of Materials (BOM), assembly instructions, drawings, diagrams/charts and engineering specifications to determine requirements (such as LCD assembly and installation of special features directed by customer).
· Operate the assembly test jig and observe the operation of LCD, measurement clearances and contact gaps.
· Adjust alignment of LCD and related components and measure voltages and continuity, using voltmeter, ohmmeter, and brightness testers to meet the job/customer specifications.
· Use tools such as; screwdrivers (manual & electrical), tweezers, and special fixtures.
· Properly “red tag” all rejected or segregated material(s) using the job traveler information per the company/department procedures.
· May install hardware, drill holes, and insert/apply adhesives (and other chemicals) to material(s) prior to assembly and final testing of units.
· May train co-workers in assembly operations (as needed and instructed by manager/assistant manager).
· Keep work area clean & uncluttered.
· Perform other duties as directed by Production Manager.
· Able to follow directions well and follow company procedures.
