Job Overview
BIA Advisory Services is seeking a Senior Director of Local Media Forecasting to join our team. As a key member of our media forecasting department, you will be responsible for developing detailed local media advertising forecast models that accurately represent spending across media channels.
Core Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain proprietary data-driven forecasting procedures to predict advertising spending across traditional and digital channels.
- Build quantitative forecast models and work with large datasets to generate precise predictions and forecast trends in industry-wide advertising expenditures.
- Evaluate historical spending patterns, market conditions, and economic indicators to drive accurate forecasting.
- Manage the development of detailed quarterly and annual forecast reports that provide actionable insights to BIA clients and C-suite executives.
- Prepare strategic business insights and analysis to present to clients and senior leadership.
Technical Oversight:
- Identify new data sources and methodologies to enhance BIA's forecasting frameworks continuously.
- Maintain best practices for data collection, analysis, and reporting.
- Ensure accuracy and reliability of all forecasting outputs.
- Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Economics, Mathematics, or a related field.
- 5 years of experience in broadcast and/or digital media.
- Proficiency in statistical analysis and modeling tools and manipulating large data sets.
- Advanced Excel skills and experience with data visualization tools.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with media mix modeling or marketing mix modeling.
- Knowledge of key advertising platforms.
- Familiarity with Nielsen, Comscore, or similar media measurement tools.
- Background in advertising, media planning, or marketing analytics.
- Familiarity with emerging AI tools.
