Duties and Responsibilities

The Load Checker / Intake Processor is responsible for ensuring the accurate and efficient processing of inbound and outbound shipments. This role involves checking in trucks, verifying load integrity, completing final inspections, and securing outbound loads with proper documentation and seals. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Truck Intake & Check-In:
• • Greet and check in drivers upon arrival.
  • Verify shipment details against bills of lading and other documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with company and customer requirements before unloading begins.
• Load Verification & Inspection:
• • Conduct final checks on loads before departure to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Confirm that all necessary paperwork is completed and correct.
  • Inspect loads for damages, shortages, or discrepancies and report any issues.
• Processing & Documentation:
• • Maintain accurate records of all incoming and outgoing shipments.
  • Ensure proper documentation is completed before releasing loads.
  • Work closely with warehouse and transportation teams to resolve any discrepancies.
• Security & Compliance:
• • Place and verify seals on outbound trucks to ensure load integrity.
  • Adhere to company and regulatory safety procedures at all times.
  • Communicate any issues with loads, documentation, or truck conditions to management promptly.

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Previous experience in logistics, warehouse operations, or transportation preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow procedures.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Basic computer skills for data entry and record keeping.
• Ability to work in a warehouse environment, including standing, walking, and lifting as needed.

Physical Job Description

• Typical Working Conditions: Work performed primarily in a temperature-controlled warehouse where there is exposure to noise and moving equipment. Occasional exposure to substances that require the use of appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).

Essential Physical Tasks: Ability to lift up to 50lbs. Able to sit for extending periods. Must be able to walk around the warehouse.
