JOB SUMMARY
This position works with the Principal and staff to develop, implement, and support the Bibb County School District’s Response to Intervention Program and the implementation of the Early Intervening Services. Under the direction of the Principal, the MTSS/RTI Coach will support teachers in the continuous improvement process of academics and behavior. The MTSS/RTI Coach will provide job-embedded professional development and technical support to Professional Learning Communities and other school staff in implementing the RTI problem solving process and selecting/implementing academic and behavioral interventions and ensuring treatment integrity.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Facilitates/Designs/Delivers Pyramid of Intervention (POI) Process at school level.
- Conducts RTI meetings to assist the team in conducting the four major activities in response to students’ needs.
- Identifies student areas of weakness, determines needed research-based interventions and determines validated progress monitoring tool.
- Analyzes ongoing progress monitoring data to determine next steps.
- Carries out needed research and study to gain full working knowledge of RTI and its benefits to academic achievement of students at risk of academic failure.
- Oversees and implements Early Intervening Services.
- Assists with the implementation of Positive Behavior Interventions and
- Develops and leads the school in progress monitoring for all students.
- Develops expertise in facilitating effective meetings, providing results-oriented professional development, promoting collaborative team processes.
- Collaborates directly with the Teaching and Learning, Special Education, and Professional Learning Departments to plan, organize, and facilitate district RTI activities.
- Leads school RTI team to establish decision-making rules for determining when students need interventions (strategic and targeted).
- Collaborates with teachers to develop appropriate RTI strategies in the school.
- Works with school RTI teams and administrators to establish data collection, analysis, evaluation, and reporting processes.
- Plans and participates in all district RTI training sessions and state RTI activities and facilitates or coordinates all professional development to staff in school.
- Coordinates RTI team meetings at school.
- Collects and analyzes school data for district level reporting.
- Communicates orally and in writing information about RTI implementation and outcomes with internal and external sources, as needed.
- Supervises and collaborates with district RTI coordinators and Interventionists.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor’s degree in education from an accredited college or university required. Master’s Degree preferred. Valid GA Teacher’s Certificate with certification in appropriate field(s). A minimum of five (5) years teaching experience with highly effective evaluations. Experience in working with diverse student populations and programs including RTI and accommodations for varying learning. Other combinations of applicable education, training, and experience which provide the knowledge, abilities, and skills necessary to perform effectively in the position may be considered.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- Knowledge of response to intervention, problem solving process, and best practices in providing interventions in instruction and behavior.
- Knowledge and understanding in the use of current technology, including disaggregation of data.
- Strong understanding of intervention principles and practices.
- Proficiency in developing and implementing data-driven, research-based interventions tailored to individual student needs.
- Ability to effectively assess levels of student achievement, analyze test results, and prescribe actions for improvement.
- Skills in oral and written communication with students, parents, and others.
- Ability to plan and implement activities for maximum effectiveness.
- Ability to work effectively with peers, administrators, and others.
- Demonstrated success in training other professionals.
CERTIFICATION, LICENSE AND SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS
- Ability to obtain clearance certificate from GaPSC.
- Meets Georgia state certification requirements in appropriate field of education.
Salary/Terms/Benefits:
- 195 day work year.
- Salary based on certification and experience; placement on the Georgia Annual Salary Schedule and position supplement(s).

This position is grant funded and is contingent on availability of funds.
