What are the responsibilities and job description for the Orthodontic Dental Assistant position at Bibko Orthodontics LLC?
Assists orthodontist, sets up equipment, prepares patients for treatment, sterilizes instruments, and enters chart notes into software.
General Accountabilities
Prepares patient, sterilizes or disinfects instruments, sets up instrument trays, prepares materials, and assist orthodontist during procedures.
Records treatment information in patient records.
Exposes diagnostic x-rays, including panoramic and cephalometric x-rays.
Takes and records patients medical and dental histories.
Assists orthodontist in management of medical or dental emergencies.
Provides orthodontic instructions after each visit.
Orders and monitors supplies and equipment inventory.
Obtaining orthodontic records
Ability to properly insert an orthodontic archwire, and ligate it to the brackets, and properly cinch the wire

Job Qualifications
Education: Post-secondary certificate from an accredited dental assistant program
Experience: 1-2 years of related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience
