ARE YOU A GOOD FIT FOR THIS ENVIRONMENTAL TECH JOB?
To thrive as an Environmental Technician at Fellowship Community, you will need a blend of skills and experience that align with our high standards. Previous cleaning experience in a hospital or skilled nursing facility is preferred, as you'll be working in a sensitive environment where safety and hygiene are paramount. A high school diploma or equivalent is required, along with a basic understanding of federal, state, and local skilled nursing regulations. Your ability to read, write, comprehend, and communicate effectively in English is crucial. Familiarity with computer systems, along with knowledge of floor and carpet care equipment, will enhance your efficiency.
Physical stamina is key, as you must lift, push, or pull more than 100 pounds, and be capable of sweeping, mopping, and climbing ladders. Understanding Geriatrics and Dementia, along with a valid Pennsylvania driver's license, will be essential for your success in maintaining a safe and clean environment.
Knowledge and skills required for the position are:
- Cleaning experience in a hospital
- skilled nursing facility or other related facility is preferred.
