What are the responsibilities and job description for the Trailer Driver position at Bibz n Ribz?
Looking for a skilled driver to join our food truck family on an as-needed basis! You'll be the hero who transports our beloved 14x8 ft, 7,000 lb food trailer from the commissary to our bustling business location and back. Your role is pivotal in starting and wrapping up our day, ensuring that our customers get to enjoy the best halal comfort food in town. If you've got the experience and love for food trucks, come steer our success! The drive is typically 17 minutes during the day and only 10 minutes at night.
Responsibilities:
- Safely operate company vehicles to transport goods and materials
- Load and unload cargo from trucks or trailers
- Follow all traffic laws and safety regulations while driving
- Inspect vehicles before and after each trip to ensure they are in good working condition
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, and fuel usage
- Communicate with dispatchers and team members regarding delivery schedules and any issues that may arise
- Adhere to company policies and procedures at all times
Requirements:
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Commercial driving experience preferred
- Ability to operate various types of vehicles, including refrigerated trailers, dump trucks, flatbeds, roll-off trucks, and forklifts
- Familiarity with heavy equipment operation is a plus
- Excellent time management skills and the ability to meet delivery deadlines
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in recordkeeping
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
