SUMMARY: Quality Control Manager will be ensuring that each work discipline being performed in the Construction process has been correctly completed in accordance with quality standards. This position is responsible for oversite and implementation of inspection, testing, and evaluation methods to ensure that production adheres closely to company and industry quality standards.

SUMMARY: Quality Control Manager will be ensuring that each work discipline being performed in the Construction process has been correctly completed in accordance with quality standards. This position is responsible for oversite and implementation of inspection, testing, and evaluation methods to ensure that production adheres closely to company and industry quality standards.
Duties Or Responsibilities
- Working knowledge of AS 9100 requirements
- Oversee the collection and production samples to evaluate quality.
- Interpret blueprints for the purpose of establishing customers’ critical needs and how they should be measured
- Working knowledge of various ASME Code books including ASME B31.3, B31.1, Section I, Section VIII Div 1, and NBIC Code for Repairs and Alterations
- Working knowledge to distinguish the Code Boundaries for Process Piping, Power Piping and Code Repairs and Alterations
- Ability to manage and audit the activities of the site QC Departments
- Assist project teams with the assembly of documentation needed for turnover books for daily maintenance work orders, capital/expansion projects and turnaround projects
- Investigate customer complaints regarding quality issues and develop a solution
- Assist in the development of needed records and standards and maintain accurate and detailed files as required
- Assist in designing and implementing the procedure for the use of Statistical Process Control across all departments as required
- Assist with auditing, writing, revising and verifying quality standards and developing forms and instructions for recording, evaluating, and reporting quality data
- Analyze quality control test results and provide feedback and interpretation to production management or staff
- Investigate (and correct) customer issues and complaints relating to quality
- Monitor performance of quality control systems to ensure effectiveness and efficiency
- Communicate quality control information to all relevant organizational departments, outside vendors, or contractors
- Instruct staff in quality control and analytical procedures
- Produce reports regarding nonconformance of products or processes, daily production quality, root cause analyses or quality trends
- Implement quality control training programs
- Other duties as required
- 15 Years’ experience
- 5 years in Managers role
- They are thorough in everything they do, always available to help when needed and they provide good leadership that sets the tone of how things should be done
- Requires someone who can handle both staff training and have excellent customer relationship skills
- They work closely with the assigned Project Quality Inspector, ensuring that field execution products meet all requirements
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Strong analytical skills
- Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
