What are the responsibilities and job description for the Disk Jockey position at Bicoastal Media?
SUMMARY: Bicoastal Media is seeking an on-air personality for our Power 963 station (KFMI). This is a CHR (Contemporary Hits Radio) format with high energy.
DUTIESAND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Adhere to all guidelines, policies, and procedures of the station, Bicoastal Media, and the FCC.
- Assists clients in the creation of copy and production content. Implements commercial productions.
- Ensure programming is consistent and appropriate for respective formats.
- Generate increased ratings by being entertaining, informative, and community oriented.
- Interact with listeners via phones, social media, video, website, and on-site appearances.
- Maintain positive attitude & interacts professionally with listeners, clients, and co-workers.
- Participate in brainstorming sessions to develop upcoming promotions, events and contest concepts.
- Work assigned shifts on-air, occasional live and/or voice tracked.
- Writes and produces imaging.
- Performs additional job duties as assigned.

EDUCATIONAND LICENSING REQUIREMENTS
- Highschool diploma or equivalent, required
- Valid California State driver’s license, required
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to speak and hear. This position requires frequent sitting, standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. Job may require lifting or moving up to 20 lbs.
POSITION TYPE/EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK: This is a Full-time position. Work days are typically 5am-2pm, Monday through Friday. Some duties may fall outside of normal everyday hours for remote broadcasts and other station functions.
