Summary:
Marketing Consultant team members consistently and continually meet and engage new and current business clients. This position is a creative marketing position. We provide marketing solutions for businesses looking to grow exposure and/or recognition, expand local branding, recruit new employees, and promote events and/or functions. Successful candidates must be well spoken and professional in appearance. Advanced business acumen is extremely helpful, as this is position requires contact with businesses and nonprofit organizations crossing multiple categories. Critical thinking, problem solving skills along with the ability to think on your feet will accelerate your success. Understanding and use of social media and other digital tactics is necessary as our platforms include integration of digital, social & events along with over-the-air or “legacy” broadcasting. The outside sales/marketing/consulting position is a critical liaison between the business community and Bicoastal Media. The A.E.s are the primary drivers in developing revenue for the company.
Responsibilities and Duties:
· Execute sales of advertising schedules/digital solutions (as applicable) and works with advertisers to help market themselves to the general public.
· Coordinates all aspects of client marketing campaign including but not limited to: copy writing, production, billing, collections, remote broadcasts, digital solutions and event marketing.
· Regularly meets with prospective and current clients to create and maintain sales relationships.
· Develops new business in selected markets and/or geographic locations.
· Supports program management in developing strategies, quantifying costs and benefits, developing business case studies, identifying opportunities for win / wins and more.
· Resolves billing & past due account issues with clients including collection processes if necessary.
· Attend occasional outside events
· Monitor competitive media to continually prospect for new account leads.
· Achieve revenue and market share goals as set by Management.
· Provide regular reports to Management regarding prospective sales orders, daily call sheets, itineraries, new prospect lists, forecasts, and competitive analysis.
Qualifications and Skills:
· Highschool Diploma or GED required. Marketing Degree preferred
· Transportation to and from client locations and business functions
- Excellent communication and oratory skills
· Minimum of two years professional sales experience(B2B or B2C)
· Outstanding marketing/presentation skills.
· Strong organizational skills.
· Understanding of media ratings services.
· Knowledge of FCC rules and regulations relating to advertising copy.
· Proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint and the suite of Microsoft office software
· Conversant in radio broadcast vocabulary.

REPORTS TO: Sales Manager
Hours: 40 per week (Full time / Exempt)
Compensation: Monthly Commissions (with Draw at end of Month), Benefits Eligible after 60 days. $60k to $100k earning potential.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
- Ability to work for extended periods of time
- Ability to drive station vehicles to various sites for events
- Occasional lifting of objects up to 50 lbs.
