Night Shift Laser operator

Under the supervision of the Machine Shop Foreman, the position holder is responsible for all tasks related to setting or turning and operation of digitally-controlled production equipment and controlling quality on produced parts with the appropriate tools.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

· Manually feeding materials to equipment or using material-handling equipment;

· Reading blueprint for work to be done, matching and marking metal according to instructions;

· Using digital control systems to adjust and operate CNC machines;

· Analysing and recording statements from digital control tools, as well as defects;

· Inspecting product and installation quality to ensure conformity with requirements by checking material and parts dimensions with measuring tools.

Skills and Competencies

· Have good physical abilities

· Have good knowledge of sheet metal

· Master the use of measuring tools

· Master blueprint reading and have a good 3D vision

· Demonstrate autonomy, precision, thoroughness, resourcefulness and reliability

· Be able to adapt to new priorities

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40 per week

Experience:

• Industrial equipment: 2 years (Preferred)
