BIDELL GAS COMPRESSION

Under the supervision of the assembly supervisor & our lead painter you will be responsible for the prepping and painting of various components required to manufacture our gas compressor units.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (include but are not limited to the following):
- 1 years’ industrial painting experience is required.
- Responsible for setting up materials and components in the specified work locations to be painted.
- Use multiple types of equipment such as sanders, grinders, and hand tools.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including the safe operation of equipment and help to maintain a safe, clean work environment.
- Participates in toolbox meetings.
- Adheres and promotes compliance with all company PPE requirements.
- All other duties as assigned.
COMPETENCIES (required skills and abilities):
- Ability to use hand tools and applicable shop machines correctly and safely.
- Must use provided PPE to perform job in accordance with safety standards.
- One year of industrial experience is required.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Must be able to work as a team member and help your coworkers as needed.
- Must be willing to work overtime and weekends when required.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Lift and carry heavy items weighing up to 50 pounds. Stand, kneel, bend, stoop, move, and walk long distances and in small areas with many moving pieces/parts.
WORK ENVIRONMENT: The work environment characteristics described are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job in a manufacturing environment. The employee is exposed to hot, cold, and outside weather conditions. Employees are working with moving mechanical parts, fumes and caustic chemicals are present. The noise level in the environment includes exposure to loud noise levels.
