Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Accounting Manager to oversee financial operations within our e-commerce organization. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing accounting functions, ensuring compliance with financial regulations, and providing strategic financial insights to support business operations. This role requires strong analytical skills, leadership abilities, and a deep understanding of retail accounting principles.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and payroll.
- Prepare and review financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP and other relevant regulations.
- Manage month-end and year-end closing processes, including reconciliations and reporting.
- Develop and implement internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure financial integrity.
- Coordinate with external auditors, tax consultants, and regulatory authorities for audits and compliance.
- Monitor cash flow, budgeting, and financial forecasting to support business decision-making.
- Analyze financial data and trends to provide insights and recommendations to senior management.
- Ensure accurate inventory accounting and cost control measures.
- Lead, mentor, and develop accounting team members to improve overall department performance.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum 10 years of accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a managerial role.
- Retail industry experience.
- Strong knowledge of retail accounting, inventory management, and cost accounting.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Experience with NetSuite accounting software a plus.
- Familiarity with financial reporting standards, tax regulations, and compliance requirements.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and leadership skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Effective communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
