Description : Job Summary :
The Construction Assistant supports the efficient construction of homes by assisting the Construction Department Manager with daily office and scheduling duties and the Construction Managers with daily tasks to meet the construction schedule. Communicates daily with subcontractors, Construction Managers, and office personnel to ensure timely completion of work and problem resolution.
Supervisory Responsibilities :
None.
Duties / Responsibilities :
Assists Construction Managers by addressing inquiries and resolving problems with customers and trade partners.
Sorts and maintains customer files.
Creates and updates job tickets and processes changes in a timely manner.
Processes and tracks utility applications.
Coordinates trade partner scheduling, as needed.
Orders construction materials.
Monitors inspections, as needed.
Enters schedule data and contractor information into the Bielinski Homes’ database.
Trains for managing all aspects of construction including planning and organizing subcontractor / customer lists throughout the construction process.
Participates in weekly field training on lot walks, customer orientation walks and quality inspections.

Education and Experience :
Associates Degree and preferably one to three years of related experience or a combination of education and experience.
Working Conditions and Physical Demands :
Ability to work both indoors in an office setting and outdoors year-round. Potential exposure to adverse weather conditions including temperature extremes and / or precipitation.
Ability to travel to unfinished job sites, inspect completed work and traverse uneven and / or graded terrain.
Medium physical exertion (i.e. lifting up to 50lbs) may be required
