Bienvivir All-Inclusive Senior Health (“Bienvivir”) is a community-based, patient-centered, comprehensive health care delivery system that advocates and promotes quality of life, optimum independence, dignity, and choices in a nurturing environment for frail seniors. Since 1987, Bienvivir has served the frail seniors of El Paso, Texas through the provision of the Program of All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly (“PACE”).

PACE is a unique managed care benefit for frail seniors (referred to as participants) age 55 and older who are certified by the state as needing nursing home level care and who reside in a PACE service area. PACE programs coordinate and provide comprehensive medical and support services so that participants can remain independent and stay in their homes for as long as safely possible.

Bienvivir is currently accepting applications for the following position :

DISPATCHER I

Under the supervision of the Dispatch Supervisor, the Dispatcher is responsible for the daily scheduling and coordination of transportation for all participants. This includes coordination of transportation from their homes to the center and back, any medical appointments, housing facilities, etc., or as instructed by team members.

RESPONSIBILITIES :

1. Retrieve One-Call Message Reports for Daily Attendance and Appointments (Spanish & English), export from One-Call and import to One Source Call Logs.

2. Review the call log and call scheduled participants who do not want to attend the center to determine the reason; immediately and continuously update the schedule for the drivers.

3. Prepare and regularly make changes to the weekly transportation schedule for participants in accordance with area of residence, vehicle capacity, and attendance days.

4. Prepare daily pick up / drop-off transportation schedule for participants.

5. Update StrataGen notes regarding participant mobility status, oxygen status, DNR status, etc.

6. Maintains all systems data up to date to ensure participants are promptly scheduled based on Transportation Requests, (e.g., new enrollments / disenrollment, Center attendance, Center OT, PT, Speech, I&A, podiatry, psychiatry, clinic isolation bus, hearing aid pick up, etc..).

7. Continuously informs drivers regarding the transportation schedule, required documentation, participant needs, and any other matter related to participant transportation services.

8. Conveys information to the Center Director, regarding changes to the schedule to be reported to the IDT in the Morning Meeting.

9. Records participants’ attendances and transportation in automated systems.

10. Files dispatch / transportation information according to an established filing system and requirements; retrieves files and creates new files as required.

11. Will process incoming / outgoing faxes and distribute appropriately.

12. Type correspondence, reports, forms, schedules, and a variety of other materials as per instructions.

13. Updates a variety of periodic and special reports, (e.g., Special Trips Report) that may require gathering of information from different sources, compiling such data and arranging it into proper format.

14. Will use a variety of standard office equipment such as a fax machine, copy machine and scanner, calculator, etc.

15. Provides coverage, as necessary, for other members of the Department due to vacancies or absences to avoid backlogs and delays.

16. Completes projects and performs other duties as assigned by immediate supervisor and department manager.

QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS :

1. Must have high school diploma or equivalent.

2. Must have a minimum of two years of office work experience.
