Bienvivir All-Inclusive Senior Health (“Bienvivir”) is a community-based, patient-centered, comprehensive health care delivery system that advocates and promotes quality of life, optimum independence, dignity, and choices in a nurturing environment for frail seniors. Since 1987, Bienvivir has served the frail seniors of El Paso, Texas through the provision of the Program of All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly (“PACE”).
PACE is a unique managed care benefit for frail seniors (referred to as participants) age 55 and older who are certified by the state as needing nursing home level care and who reside in a PACE service area. PACE programs coordinate and provide comprehensive medical and support services so that participants can remain independent and stay in their homes for as long as safely possible.

Bienvivir is currently accepting applications for the following position:
MEDICATION DELIVERY DRIVER
The Delivery Driver will work closely with the clinic/pharmacy to ensure the timely delivery of medication and other supplies to participants’ residence. The Delivery Driver works as part of the transportation team in providing delivery and pick-up services to our participants. The Delivery Driver will perform manual lifting and driving work. The Delivery Driver reports to the Transportation Supervisor.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Timely delivery of medications and other supplies to the participant’s home and/or other centers as required.
2. Driver will read out the name of the participant and the address or center of attendance to the person receiving the medication(s) to confirm that the delivery is correct.
3. Counts and writes the number of medications or supplies that were delivered or picked up in the Delivery Log.
4. Return undelivered medication to the pharmacy daily, and request signature from the person receiving the medication.
5. Conducts daily inspections to ensure assigned vehicle is safe to operate.
6. Carry and maintain assigned cellular phone ON at all times during working hours or as required. Cellular phone will not be used while driving. All calls must be answered as promptly as possible without compromising safety.
7. Must work outside normal working hours in case of late or early pick-ups or deliveriesof medical supplies and/or medications.
8. Must provide on-call coverage after hours, on weekends and holidays as assigned.
9. Communicate with supervisor and/or IDT regarding any issues encountered during deliveries.
10. Attend mandatory departmental and organizational meetings or in-service training.
11. Comply with procedures related to the inability to deliver medications or supplies when participant or family is not home.
12. Other duties or tasks as assigned by the supervisor, as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS:
1. GED or high school diploma preferred.
2. Must be at least twenty-one (21) years of age with five years’ experience of continuous driving experience.
3. Must have a VALID Texas driver’s license (Class C)
4. Minimum one year experience working with the frail elderly preferred.
5. Must have a current CPR card.
