Bienvivir All-Inclusive Senior Health (“Bienvivir”) is a community-based, patient-centered, comprehensive health care delivery system that advocates and promotes quality of life, optimum independence, dignity, and choices in a nurturing environment for frail seniors. Since 1987, Bienvivir has served the frail seniors of El Paso, Texas through the provision of the Program of All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly (“PACE”).
PACE is a unique managed care benefit for frail seniors (referred to as participants) age 55 and older who are certified by the state as needing nursing home level care and who reside in a PACE service area. PACE programs coordinate and provide comprehensive medical and support services so that participants can remain independent and stay in their homes for as long as safely possible.

Bienvivir is currently accepting applications for the following position:
PHARMACIST
The Staff Pharmacist (SP) provides quality pharmaceutical care to BSHS participants, physicians, and other medical staff. Will review and approve all physician orders to ensure the safe and accurate dispensing to participants as prescribed. Will be responsible for the direct supervision of pharmacy technicians and for the legal operation of the pharmacy in compliance with all state and federal laws and Texas State Board of Pharmacy (TSBP) laws and regulations.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
CHECK/VERIFY
Data entry as prescribed
Appropriate therapeutic drug therapy
Medication, quantity, and labeling
Initial vial as a final check
Number of Rix’s-vs-receipts
Bagging/scanning prescriptions
REVIEW/AUTHORIZE
Prescription over-rides as appropriate and drug therapy interventions
Allergies, contraindications
Therapeutic duplication, refill too soon
Communicate any issues with physicians
Documentation of interventions
Refill authorizations per protocol
Loading of bulk unlabeled drugs by techs into the automated machine
MONITOR/SUPERVISE
Technician work/duties
Drug order received/stored
Workflow/staffing throughout the day
PROVIDE DRUG INFORMATION
To participants including, directions, indication, and side effects
To physicians, nursing staff, and other medical staff, when requested
Respond to Drug Review requests
CONTROL SUBSTANCES
Fill control substance orders and maintain perpetual log sheet
Check in all orders and maintain invoices
Report any discrepancies
AUDITS
Help with monthly and quarterly audits
Ensure compliance with all state and federal laws
Report any discrepancies
May be required to perform additional duties related to the prescription process or operation of the pharmacy not mentioned in the duties above.
QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy or Doctorate of Pharmacy Degree
Registration with the TSBP as a Pharmacist in good standing
1-2 years of pharmacy experience
Salary : $58 - $87
