Order Selector (Lumber)
Biewer of Lansing is looking to add a full-time Order Selector to our team in Lansing, MI. This position will train for various roles, possess problem-solving skills, and enjoy being a team player. We seek hard-working talent and people who like to work!
Scheduling: 1stshift 6 am to 4 pm - Monday - Thursday
Accountabilities:
- Operating forklift truck at treating plant.
- Verify orders are pulled and wrapped accurately.
- Pick/pull piece items per order requirements.
- Stack orders and cut dividers with a saw.
- Palatalize orders.
- Place order on plastic, band orders.
- Cleanliness, organization, and attention to detail are a top priority.
- Responsibly follow all safety procedures and policies.
- Work with co-workers to ensure a safe workplace.
Qualifications:
- Previous forklift operating experience required.
- General Building Materials and/or Lumber knowledge preferred.
- Ability to stand for 90 % of an 8-hour shift.
- Experience working outside, year-round, as needed.
- Ability to bend and lift to 15 lbs.
- Strong math skills.
- Prior Warehouse Management System (WMS) experience preferred.
- Reading, writing, and math competency demonstrated by high school diploma or equivalent.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 50 per week
