In-Store Sales Associate

Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and customer-oriented Retail Sales Associate to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, assisting customers with their purchases, and maintaining a well-organized store environment. The ideal candidate will have a passion for retail and a strong ability to engage with customers effectively.

Duties

• Greet customers warmly and assist them in locating products within the store.
• Operate the cash register and handle transactions accurately, including cash and credit card payments.
• Utilize basic math skills to ensure correct pricing and change is given.
• Engage in upselling techniques to enhance the customer shopping experience and increase sales.
• Conduct product demonstrations to educate customers about new items or promotions.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the sales floor and stock areas.
• Assist in supervising junior staff members when required, ensuring adherence to store policies and procedures.
• Address customer inquiries and resolve issues promptly to ensure satisfaction.
• Collaborate with team members to achieve sales targets and maintain a positive work environment.

Experience

• Previous experience in a grocery store or retail environment is preferred but not mandatory.
• Familiarity with cash registers, POS systems, and retail math is advantageous.
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse clientele; bilingual skills are a plus.
• Experience in supervising or mentoring staff is beneficial for candidates looking for growth opportunities within the company.
