What are the responsibilities and job description for the Volunteer - Manufacturing & Mechatronics position at Big Bend Community College?
Volunteer opportunities are currently available in our Manufacturing and Process Technologies program as well as the BBCC Mechatronics Club. Share your skills and knowledge with students while assisting them to complete project goals. If you have experience with Maintenance, Assembly, Design, Programming, CNC Machines, Electronics, Automation, Project Management, or just want to give back and have a willingness to learn through the process with the students, then please apply! Volunteer positions are unpaid and the volunteer acknowledges that they do not expect remuneration or a paid position in the future or any other tangible benefit in return for their volunteer service.
Volunteers must complete required training courses in the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA), Sexual Harassment, Title IX, and Hazing Prevention.
Pursuant to RCW 28B.112.080, applicants must declare whether they are the subject of any substantiated findings of sexual misconduct in any current or former employment or are currently being investigated for, or have left a position during an investigation into, a violation of any sexual misconduct policy at the applicant’s current or past employers. By law, post-secondary education institutions cannot hire an applicant who does not complete the questions.
Prior to employment, a background check including criminal record history will be conducted. Information from the background check will not necessarily preclude employment but will be considered in determining the applicant’s suitability and competence to perform the position.
