As the Assistant General Manager, you’ll be be responsible for the daily activities of the Swim Associates and adherence to Big Blue Swim School processes and procedures

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Opening activities:
- Develop and execute a strategic marketing strategy and plan
- Develop and execute a talent and hiring plan
- Lead new pool opening activities
Management:
- Support the GM with profitability and managing the store's P&L
- Support the GM with payroll
- Drive a culture of continuous improvement
Customer Service: Communicates with parents/customers to regularly provide appropriate status updates and a high level of customer service.
Marketing: Support the leadership team with driving the marketing plan.
People Management:
- Lead a group of 10-20 swim associates
- Manage performance assessment of swim associates
- Engage in continuous training opportunities for staff
Facilities Management: Ensure building operations including cleanliness, water quality, and pump room operations.
Operations: Ensure schedule optimization and run operational shifts.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Significant management experience including leading large teams of hourly employees
- Ability to provide high level service and create a strong sense of community for our customers
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Strong critical thinking skills and proactive approach to problem solving
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs. and be on your feet for long periods of time
- Must be able to attend on-site training in Chicago for 2.5 weeks in beginning of December
Work Environment:
While performing the duties of this job, you’ll regularly work in and around a pool environment, which includes warm temperatures, wet conditions, and pool chemicals. The noise level in the work environment may be moderately loud. This job also works in a standard office environment.
