Call Taker
New opening with a local growing service business. This position will be located in our new Eureka office and will be 40 hours per week with a training work schedule of Monday-Friday 9a-5p during training. After training, there will be an adjustment to the weekly schedule to accommodate weekend help.
We are a towing company that operates 24/7/365. This job supports our towing, impound, emergency response, and breakdown services, and as a result there are pressure points and challenges that require a person able to make multiple correct decisions under pressure.
Position Overview: The Call Taker is the first point of contact for customers calling in for towing or recovery services. This role involves gathering detailed information, assessing the nature of the request, and accurately entering the job details into the system for dispatch. The Call Taker must be able to effectively communicate with clients and ensure all relevant details are captured for proper service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Answer incoming calls from clients requesting towing or recovery services.
- Collect detailed information about the incident, including location, type of vehicle, and nature of the job.
- Input job details accurately into the dispatch system for coordination.
- Provide customers with estimated arrival times and basic information about the services provided, and quote pricing for the job to be completed.
- Direct calls to the appropriate departments or personnel based on the needs of the client.
- Assist with follow-up calls to ensure customer satisfaction and resolve any issues.
- Take phone messages and deliver to appropriate departments.
Qualifications:
- Strong customer service skills and a friendly, professional phone demeanor.
- Excellent communication and listening skills.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with towing services and terminology is a plus.
- Ability to use dispatching and communication systems effectively.
