Impound Lot Clerk
New opening with a local growing service business. This position will be located in our Impound office and will be 40 hours per week with a training work schedule of Monday-Friday 8:30a-5p during training. After training, there will be an adjustment to the weekly schedule to accommodate weekend help.
We are a reputable towing company committed to providing excellent service and maintaining high standards in all aspects of our business. We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and organized Impound Clerk to join our team. This role is crucial in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of our impound processes.
COMPENSATION:

Duties:
- Daily Verification: Review and upload completed 4569’s and 4669’s to calls and coordinate with the police department to ensure completion.
- Impound Charge Verification: Run reports and edit calls to verify charges from the previous day’s impounds.
- Lot Inventory: Work closely with the Lot Attendant to verify lot inventory.
- Certified Letters: Verify addresses, addressees, and current impound status before mailing certified letters. Ensure the proper process is followed before moving impounds to the "Ready" status.
- Mailing & Tracking: Verify mail dates, and mail certified letters. Track outstanding mail, receive returned mail, update impound statuses, and apply for refunds through USPS as needed.
- Title Updates: Update impounds for which titles have been received, ensuring all documentation is signed, scanned, and verified.
- Bill of Sales Creation: Create Bills of Sale for scrapping vehicles older than 10 years, track returned signed documents, and update folders accordingly.
- Title Applications: Apply for original and salvage titles, perform notary services for title documentation.
- Release Management: Handle impound releases, verify payments, upload all necessary paperwork to Towbook, and zero out calls.
- Impound Tracking: Keep track of impounds taken to other locations (e.g., Fire Training Center, Big Foot, Rolla for 551’s).
- Customer Service: Take incoming calls for impound release questions that relate specifically to the laws relating to towing and impoundment. Safely escorting customers behind the gate to their vehicle as needed.
- Other Tasks: Administrative and clerical duties as needed.
Qualifications:
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Experience in administrative roles, preferably in a similar industry
- Notary public certification or willingness to obtain
- Proficiency in using office software and systems, particularly Towbook
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with team members and external parties
