Job Summary
Big Brothers Big Sisters Donation Center is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Donation Door/Warehouse Associate to support our donation center operations. This role involves a combination of warehouse tasks, office responsibilities, and truck dispatching duties. The ideal candidate will be comfortable with physical labor, have strong organizational skills, and possess experience in office administration and logistics.
Key Responsibilities
- Accept and process donations at our drive-up donation center
- Load and unload donations from company trucks and trailers
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized donation center
- Assist in overseeing warehouse operations and directing staff as needed
- Work both indoors and outdoors in various weather conditions
- Ensure compliance with safety procedures and company policies
Qualifications & Requirements
- Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift 25-35 lbs regularly and move 50-75 lbs occasionally with assistance
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment
- Experience & Skills:
- Warehouse and logistics experience preferred
- Strong time management, communication, and customer service skills
- Comfortable directing and managing staff as needed
- Other Requirements:
- Must pass a criminal background check, drug screening, and physical examination
- Weekend availability required
Benefits & Compensation
- Hourly Pay: $15.00 - $17.50 per hour (based on experience)
- Paid Time Off:
- 12 vacation days in the first year
- 20 vacation days per year starting in the second year
- 30 vacation days per year starting in the sixth year (for full-time staff)
