In this role, you’ll be at the heart of our volunteer recruitment efforts, driving outreach and engaging with incredible people who are ready to make a difference. You’ll also be coordinating the magic behind the scenes with our Mentor Advisory Council (MAC) and ensuring smooth communication between departments. What You'll Be Doing:
Volunteer Recruitment Rockstar
- Crush Recruiting Goals: Meet and exceed volunteer mentor recruitment goals with flair!
- Diverse Recruitment Strategies: Think big! Use meetings, presentations, social media, emails, and more to attract amazing volunteers.
- Lead the Way: Generate fresh leads that will help match more mentors and mentees.
- Campaign Magic: Create and execute awesome recruitment campaigns that drive excitement and support from partners and stakeholders.
- Tackle Objections: Show us your problem-solving skills by overcoming recruitment challenges and turning "maybe" into "yes!"
- Build Relationships: From the first hello to the final handshake, you’ll nurture connections with potential volunteers and partners.
Volunteer Experience Champion
- Create WOW Moments: Ensure every volunteer has an exceptional journey from start to finish.
- Smooth Transitions: Work across departments to make sure everything runs smoothly from recruitment to enrollment to matching.
- Keep Things On Track: Update procedures and make sure managers are on top of their game.
- Training Support: Help develop and deliver top-notch training for staff and volunteers alike.
Mentor Advisory Council Coordination
- Lead with Impact: Co-chair meetings, track progress, and support subcommittees to help us stay on track.
- Engage with Passion: Keep our mentors excited and engaged, from meet-ups to social events.
- Teamwork Makes the Dream Work: Collaborate with department leaders and mentors to share feedback and ideas.
Cross-Department Collaboration
- Be a Team Player: Serve on committees to boost volunteer satisfaction and amplify our mission.
- Lead the Charge: Take the reins on committees related to volunteer and donor satisfaction.
- Work with Partners: Build relationships with other youth service organizations and community partners.
- Innovate and Collaborate: Work with your team to develop new solutions to reach our goals!
What We’re Looking For:
Skills and Experience:
- Experience with People: You’ve got at least 2 years in sales, volunteer recruitment, fundraising, or grassroots campaign leadership. You know how to build relationships and influence others.
- Event Planning: You’ve planned and executed events that leave people excited and engaged.
- Goal-Driven: You thrive when you have a target to hit and love making things happen.
- Communication Superstar: Whether it’s face-to-face or through emails, your communication skills are second to none.
- Team Player: You’re just as comfortable working independently as you are in a collaborative team environment.
Bonus Points for:
- A bachelor’s degree or higher!
Physical/Base Requirements:
- A car to travel around the Albuquerque area (or wherever your mission takes you!)
- Flexibility to attend evening/weekend events and activities.
- Proficiency with MS365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams) and familiarity with business software like Salesforce.
