Summary
As the Program Director at Big Brothers Big Sisters, you will oversee the development and implementation of our mentoring programs, ensuring that we create impactful relationships that empower youth. This role is vital to our mission of supporting one-to-one mentoring relationships that ignite the power and promise of youth.
Responsibilities
- Lead the design, implementation, and evaluation of mentoring programs to ensure effectiveness and alignment with organizational goals.
- Supervise program staff and volunteers, providing guidance and support to foster a positive working environment.
- Manage program budgets, ensuring financial resources are allocated effectively to support program initiatives.
- Develop and maintain relationships with community partners to enhance program reach and effectiveness.
- Monitor program outcomes and prepare reports for stakeholders to demonstrate impact and areas for improvement.
- Ensure compliance with organizational policies and best practices in program delivery.
- Provide training and resources for volunteers to enhance their mentoring skills.
- Advocate for youth needs within the community to promote awareness and support for our mission.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in program management within a nonprofit or similar setting.
- Strong supervisory skills with a track record of leading teams effectively.
- Experience in budgeting and financial management related to program operations.
- Familiarity with developmental disabilities is beneficial but not required.
- Excellent relationship management skills to engage volunteers, community partners, and stakeholders effectively.
- Background in social work or behavioral health is a plus but not mandatory.
- Demonstrated ability to develop programs that meet the needs of diverse populations.
