ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS, RESPONSIBILITIES & ACCOUNTABILITY

Customer Relations
- Manages the inquiry process of potential youth/families.
- Responds to all calls and inquiries in a timely manner from youth/families requesting general information about enrollment.
- Provides appropriate program information to potential youth/families or referring sources.
- Maintains accurate contact information in all files, and documents dates and summary of all communications.
- Schedules orientations for youth/families, and assist in facilitation, as needed.
- Enrollment
- Conducts family/child enrollment and assessments. Provides any concerns to the Senior Program Manager that might influence eligibility or acceptance into the program.
- Maintains accurate contact information in all files, and documents dates and summary of all communications.
- Matching and Match Support
- Attends match parties and completes match rationales.
- Community Engagement
- Identifies potential new business partners to recruit volunteers/discuss mentoring opportunities.
- Identifies potential donors and/or fundraising opportunities.
- Attends and supports a minimum of 4 recruitment activities annually.
- Attends and supports a minimum of 6 program activities annually, including those specifically for wait list Littles.
- Attends a minimum of 3 fundraising and stewardship events annually.
AGENCY SUPPORT RESPONSIBILITIES
- Attend required meetings and events, as scheduled.
- Establish and promote positive communication among all team members of BBBSSEM to increase collaboration and reduce inefficiencies.
- Represent BBBSSEM in a professional manner at all times, providing courteous service to both internal and external constituents and presenting a positive image of BBBSSEM.
- Abide by BBBSSEM policies, procedures and standard operating practices.
- Utilize educational opportunities and related resources to improve agency service.
- Promote and maintain cooperative working relationships with other community organizations.
- Coordinate with other departments to identify possible partners and partnerships, staff and promote agency events, and provide support for other efforts, as necessary.
- Other duties as assigned by Supervisor.
EVALUATION OF PERFORMANCE
Performance will be evaluated annually based on meeting the requirements of the job description; meeting performance metrics and other quality indicators established for this position; working effectively in a team environment; and demonstrating the values of BBBS of Southeast Michigan.
Requirements:POSITION REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION
- Must possess a Bachelor’s degree in social work or related field.
- Skills and knowledge required include written and verbal skills, proficiency using technology, commitment to justice, equity, diversity and inclusion, and demonstrated integrity.
