Grant Specialist
Job Type: Full-time Status: Non-Exempt
Position Summary:
The Grants Specialist is responsible for program data collection and entering demographic and outcome data for various program grants and submits necessary reporting in a timely and efficient manner. The Grants Specialist will also compile and submit monthly grant reports to assist when needed. This role will also assist the program department and ensure compliance with all grant requirements.
Other Job Duties:
- Complete data entry for reporting and collecting monthly hours from staff.
- Ensure compliance with agency policy by monitoring and obtaining updated information and/or fingerprints for all volunteers as they reach their three-year match anniversary or third year of participation in BBBS of Tampa Bay Program.
- Initiate and track background screenings in the Clearinghouse.
- Manage and track new hire training, CPR certifications and annual renewal training for staff in systems.
- Assist in compiling information and entering monthly demographic and outcome data in the CATS database for local grant.
- Assist with the collection, updating, and annual submission of FERPA/School Releases to the Hillsborough County Public Schools for the Children’s Board of Hillsborough County grants.
- Compile data needed for quarterly reports.
- Run monthly reports for grantors as a back-up to the Grant Director.
- Attend agency meetings, and training.
- Actively support the agency’s mission to create and support one-to-one mentoring relationships that ignite the power and promise of youth.
- Additional responsibilities based on the needs of the organization.
Qualifications:
- Preferred experience working with grants and data collection.
- Required bachelor’s degree in relevant field.
- Proficiency using Microsoft Office suite.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Required reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license.
