Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Sun Coast is seeking an outgoing, experienced Human Services professional with a passion for working with youth in Hendry County in the role of Community Program Manager. BBBS Sun Coast is an Agency that promotes the mentoring relationships between Bigs and Littles for the purpose of igniting the potential in each child served.
The primary responsibility of this position is to provide program development in Hendry County with focus duties cultivating and coordinating community partners for volunteer and youth recruitment and partnership development for sight-based programs, and creating successful programs that position BBBS of the Sun Coast in the community as the not-for-profit organization of choice.

Ideal candidate will hold a bachelor’s degree in social or human services, education, or similar field of study. Ideally, live in Hendry county to best service our initiatives in that area and communities within the county.
Ability to fluently communicate in Spanish is a plus.
Candidates must have a valid driver's license and dependable transportation. This role will travel roughly 50% of the time.
Key Duties:
- Maintains a reasonable match case load following the processes and protocols of a Mentor Manager that is balanced with the other duties noted below.
- Cultivates new corporate and community relationships for the purpose of a partnership for specific program initiatives (i.e. BSW, others when applicable).
- Participates in community events by promoting the agency and its initiatives either via presentation, tabling, or informal interactions during the events.
- Strategically drives program initiatives for volunteer recruitment goals and youth enrollment opportunities for growth in youth served in the coverage area communities.
- Acts as the community liaison with stakeholders (i.e. United Way, Chambers of Commerce, County Governments, Local schools, etc.)
- Oversees the coordination of program activities (i.e. recognition events, holiday parties, back-to-school events, mixers, etc.) with the support of other program staff in the coverage area.
- Participates in match activities such as interviews, assessment, and matching Bigs and Littles.
- Strives to exceed all quality and quantity minimum expectations.
- Provides supplementary intake for client and volunteer applicants (as needed).
- Conducts client/parent/volunteer annual review of progress/success.
- Updates Youth Development Outcome Plan (YODP) annually or sooner (if appropriate).
- Provides in-depth case management consultation, including appropriate resource referrals.
- Works collaboratively with the team to maximize volunteer recruitment and child outreach.
- Provides volunteer activities that promote volunteer development and education.
- Promotes an environment of inclusivity and diversity in the agency culture and community in all facets of activities and interactions
- Develops and instills a culture of teamwork and positive work environment to promote inclusivity of all members.
