CLASSIFICATION TITLE: School-Based Coordinator
DISTINGUISHING JOB CHARACTERISTICS
Maintains responsibility for providing high-level customer service. Assists with marketing, recruitment, outreach, recognition, and agency activities. Coordinates the School-Based Programs in accordance with Agency and National standards. Works flexible hours to meet customer and agency needs.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Organizes and implements School-Based programs in partnership with School Districts. Requires out of county travel during the school calendar year to serve youth in school districts the agency supports (Muskingum, Guernsey, Morgan, Noble and Coshocton Counties).
Serves as a liaison to schools to recruit volunteer Bigs from the community, business and school, acquire referrals for student Littles, arrange meeting facilities, and coordinate all site-specific needs.
Conducts Match Support for School-Based Matches through face-to-face, telephone, mail and/or e-mail conversations with Bigs, Littles and Parents/Guardians to ensure a positive match experience and appropriately deals with any potential problems or challenges in the match. Notifies Program Director and President & CEO of concerns negatively impacting matches. If capacity allows, additional community-based matches may be allocated to caseload. Caseload to be determined at the discretion of the Program Director/President & CEO.
Assists with marketing and recruitment activities. Assists in planning, organizing and attending Agency Activities for Bigs, Littles, and Buddies.
Creates and makes presentations to civic organizations, businesses, teachers, students and other groups to promote BBBS programs and activities.
Promotes BBBS programs by providing contacts with positive and efficient customer service. Remains dedicated to meeting expectations and requirements of internal and external customers.
Maintains confidentiality of youth applications, background checks and other non-public and other sensitive subject matter.
Keeps accurate records by completing and maintaining required documentation including statistical reports, open on-line records, mileage and expense reports and reference checks.
Participates in and assists with agency fund-raising activities. Educates community and professional organizations on agency programs.
Works assigned schedule, exhibits regular and predictable attendance and works overtime as required to meet workload demands. Performs other related duties as required.
OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Supports other nonprofit community organizations or worthy causes to spread goodwill and promote the goals and objectives of BBBS.
SCOPE OF SUPERVISION
Report to Program Director regarding all caseload updates including but not limited to: Program Concerns, questions or supports required for matches. Responsible for meeting monthly check ins regarding Quality Assurance to conduct review to stay in compliance with national standards.

Employee typically travels in a car to and from meetings. Employee occasionally lifts or exerts force on items of varying weights not exceeding 25 pounds.
QUALIFICATIONS
An appropriate combination of education, training, course work and experience may qualify an applicant to demonstrate required knowledge, skill, and abilities. An example of an acceptable qualification is: 1 to 3 years experience in the child and adult population with assessment, intake or interview experience.
A Bachelor's Degree is required for this position.

State Motor Vehicle Operator’s License
