Key Responsibilities
- Perform preventive maintenance inspections as per Company standards.
- Perform repairs as per Company standards
- Maintain work orders accurately and on time
- Fill out DVIR books accurately and on time
- Fill out inspection sheets accurately and on time
- Maintain work area clean
- Ensure that buses are repaired and maintained clean and presentable to the highest standards
- Able to drive Service Truck for occasional Road Calls
- Make sure that all work is done properly to ensure minimum duplicate repair
- Repair air brake systems
- To carry out other tasks as may be reasonably requested
Qualifications
Knowledge
• Knowledge of air brake systems
• Able to follow instructions and read wiring diagrams
• Able to perform root cause analysis
Skills
• Excellent listening and communication skills
• Able to work with limited supervision at times
• Work well with others in a team environment, including drivers and other Company personnel
Experience/Qualifications
• Legally able to work in the United States.
• At least 2 years of Relevant Diesel/Heavy Truck/Bus Mechanic experience
• High School diploma or equivalent
• ASE Certification is a plus

Working Hours and Conditions
• Must have a flexible schedule with availability to work a variety of hours, which may include early mornings, evenings, weekends and/or holidays
• Must follow COVID-19 related guidelines and BBT internal protocols at all times
• Must have own tools
Physical Requirements
• Job requires employee to remain on his or her feet for continuous periods of time without being able to leave the work area.
• Job requires lifting, carrying or pushing/pulling up to 20 lbs.
