The ideal candidate will have a strong background in sales and a minimum of 5 years' experience in the building materials industry. Proficiency in takeoff's and blueprint reading is also required.
The primary responsibility of this role is to ensure customer satisfaction while prioritizing safety. This includes building material sales to professional builders, remodelers, and serious do-it-yourselfers, as well as developing and attaining sales and margin goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain relationships with existing customers
- Expand customer base through new business development
- Complete frequent on-site job inspections
- Maintain company vehicle
- Coordinate deliveries
- Maintain accurate records
Requirements/Abilities:
- Valid driver's license
- Advanced estimating and blueprint reading skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Self-motivation and ability to work independently
- Ability to stand and sit for long periods of time
- Ability to routinely lift, carry, and move 40 lbs.
