Job Overview
We are seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Counter Help to join our team in a fast-paced Deli environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for making sandwiches, cleaning deli equipment, providing excellent customer service, ensuring food safety, and maintaining a clean and organized workspace. This role is essential in creating a positive experience for our customers.

Duties

• Greet customers warmly and take their orders accurately.
• Prepare and serve food items following proper food safety guidelines.
• Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system efficiently to process transactions.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the counter area and dining space.
• Assist with food preparation tasks as needed, ensuring high standards of quality.
• Manage time effectively to ensure timely service during peak hours.
• Upsell menu items to enhance customer satisfaction and increase sales.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations throughout the shift.

Experience

• Previous experience in the food service or restaurant industry is preferred but not required.
• Familiarity with food safety practices is a plus.
• Strong time management skills to handle busy periods effectively.
• Basic math skills for handling cash transactions and change accurately.
• Experience with POS systems is advantageous but not mandatory.
• A positive attitude and willingness to learn are essential for success in this role.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week

Shift:

• 8 hour shift
